Q: How well did you know about Japanese pop music?

A: A little bit because like I said, going all these radio stations all over the country, Tokyo, Sapporo, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Osaka, kagoshima, Hokkaido or everywhere, you know, all over this country. And because of the hit To be with you, To be with you is kind of a cross over song, most of the material that I, we did was rock, and wed always be played on rock radio. So To be with you gave it kind of a cross over and it was played on pop radio. The playlists would be To be with you but with these J-pop songs, you know, Glay, Luna Sea Am I pronouncing it right? L Arc-en-Ciel and those kind of things. And Miki Imai, Princes Princes, Puffy and all these pop stuff, you know. And Misia, the list goes on. I was really aware of it but it was a totally different world for me.
