インタビュー　稲村美紀

Q: What made you pursue a career in traditional Celtic music, and it's not something like, contemporary?

It's not, well, it's not something that you pick it, it picks you, ｙou know. First of all, in a lot of our cases, we started to play and sing music when we were kids. It's a part of, a part of our culture and it's more surrounded by it, and it just continues on and even though we are, we do like to listen to contemporary music, it is the traditional music that we are more attracted to. And we started, the band together started in 1989, and it's great because it brings our commonality between people who wouldn't. Otherwise we're just strangers. And you have, we have this tradition separately. And we come together because there are one common trait. So that's right kind of initiative all together in the early 90s. And we started to play together on stage and then, you started the world travel. To Rio, to China, to Japan, and it's music that we love, it's part of our heritage and you know, it's in our system.
